Ruth & Alan @
The Coach and Horses |
22.5.12 |
Delightful
setting, out in the woods and streams near Abinger
Hammer. Rain threatened but held off in the main. More new visitors tonight,
Dave from East Grinstead Hash, then Dave a fit Scouser
who lapped it up, up and over the hillsides. Plus Woody was back with us,
fresh from his Honeymoon no less!! No comment. Sausage and Chipper were back
from their heated holiday in Vietnam, suitably tanned, one more than the
other. Eager to burn off all those cold beers. |

Lunchbox @ The
Cricketers |
29.5.12 |
We
all arrived at this nice countryside pub, and with a healthy pack, and
quickly set off into the fields of barley! All Up Front was a bit dubious of
all the friendly horses galloping excited towards us, as we tried to cross a
busy field, not her favourite me thinks. Two new Hash Virgins tonight, Cathy
& Andy, smiling as they ran round with us hope they enjoyed it! Nearly all come back again. Cunning Linguist joined from Surrey Hash,
was previously with Berkshire for 20 years. He has some fabulous run round
Oxford, and the Colleges in September time to come… |

Naked Chef @ The
Prince of Wales Right
Royal Romp |
5.6.12 |
A
dark stormy night loomed overhead, so a mere ten brave Weybridge Hashers
turned up for this one, and how they were rewarded!! Daffy pulled out every
magic trick in the book, afterwards we agreed in the pub, we hardly got one
check between us, such was the svengali
nature of Daffy’s trail. It felt like we were
training for the Marines, up one escarpment, down another, then up again,
fitness personified we were! Poor Dave, he of the loping stride, pushed too
much, and pulled a calf muscle….ouch! |

The Great Bear
& Simon @ Stephen Langton Pub |
12.6.12 |
This
was a right old mudlark, that got dirtier the
further we went. Supposedly this was a fine Summer’s evening in Southern
Britain in 2012, … who are we kidding?? ... and a planned very entertaining route had been conjured up
by All Up Front & Simon, who themselves had already got drenched when
they recce’d it on Sunday, and then AGAIN tonight,
not fair on them! |

Headleys Hounds @ The Stables AGM |
19.6.12 |
This
was an idyllic setting for all those smart Hashers who looked at the
location, and thought, YES…and they were right. Hidden away inside a golf
course, WITH a country cottage pub on site. Hey ho!
Our clever hare gave us a super trail all round Reigate Heath, cows, horses
galore and journeyed into local Buckland footpaths, and yes a humid night,
with butterflies a plenty in the sunlight, beautiful. Lunchbox sets good
trails, and this was a cracker, and boy were we
thirsty back at the ranch! Delighted visitors tonight were Belgrano, ‘here to check up on us’ he said, plus Dishy
Dave now recovered from his bad back, good, all he needs is a good … whoops
can’t spell that here !! |
